Rich was a grunt who worked for the Sheriff. He seems to have fighting abilities slightly more advanced than the average grunt.

Rich has never been seen in person at any point in the canon series, other than the poster from Madness Combat 2: Redeemer. He is also going to appear in the story mode of Madness: Project Nexus 2, being in charge of the power in one of the facilities.

Rich was seen on an "Employee of the Month" poster in Madness Combat 2: Redeemer.

Incident: 011A

Rich appeared in person behind his work desk in Incident: 011A. Upon seeing Mag Agent: Torture, he drew out an iron knife and stabbed him in the head. However, the mag agent punched him to the wall and crushed him with his desk, killing him.

Madness: Project Nexus 2

Rich after 30 years

Rich appears early in the story mode of Madness: Project Nexus 2 in the level "Power Play". His "employee of the month" poster can be occasionally seen throughout certain facilities. When encountered, he sports a long white beard and mentions that he has worked in the power plant for roughly 30 years. He mistakes Hank for his replacement and helps Hank shut the power plant down.

  • As Krinkels was asked about what Rich did to earn to employee of the month award, his answer was: "Perfect attendance." When asked what Rich's job was, Krinkels answered "energy logistics", possibly a reference to his job in Project Nexus 2.
  • When Krinkels was asked, if Rich could kill an A.T.P. engineer, he replied with "Probably, if he got the drop on them. Real question would be if he'd have the will to do it."
  • When Krinkels was asked, why did Rich age but other characters like Hank didn't, he replied with "They're all older, Rich just didn't have access to clippers or a razor to shave that beard. Not link[sic] Hank needs it, considering he's utterly hairless."
